CBp Carbon has exclusively licensed a patented technology that achieves this goal. The technology, which CBp Carbon has acquired for 25 years, also upgrades the by-products of tire pyrolysis into clean-burning gas which can be used to generate electricity. However, the major breakthrough is that for the first time, the technology allows for the economic upgrading of the raw carbonaceous char, one of the by-products of the process, into a commercial substitute for carbon black, a main commodity for the rubber and plastics industries, for example in the automotive parts and tire sector, amongst others. The technology is the first fully integrated approach of thermal and mineral technologies to tire recycling that is both environmentally and economically viable. The process: 1.
